DESCRIPTION:   Whispering Willows is a one-of-a-kind, private, mini-resort located in the valley between Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero.   The views are spectacular!  Ideally situated on Chalk Creek, the lodging features a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom sprawling house with a well-appointed galley kitchen, a large living room, and an oversized rec room with a regulation-sized pool table.    Dine inside at one of the two dining tables, or move everyone outside to the deck, or even creek side to the pavilion.    For those who love to cook outside, a gas grill is available.   The Mt. Princeton Grocery Store is within walking distance and has a limited supply of groceries.   If you don’t wish to cook, also within walking distance is the Mary Murphy Steak House which serves 3 spectacular meals a day and also has the Mary Murphy Steak House Bar, and the Juice Bar.  There are many spa options also available within walking distance. 

Guests love the amenities inside the house, but the outside of this property is what makes it so unique.  Enjoy swimming year-round in the 20,000 gallon geothermal swimming pool, which his surrounded by a pool deck with zero gravity deck chairs.    A relaxing place to soak up the sun while relaxing in a private and peaceful environment.  The natural rock soaking pool,  also heated geothermally and creekside, will bring peace and balance to your life as you unhook and unwind.

As an added bonus, this private mini-resort has two fresh water ponds with entertaining fish (no fishing allowed from the pond), Willow trees, which lend their name to this mini-resort, and 300 feet of creekside frontage.  Guests can fish from the banks of Chalk Creek, however, Wrights Lake and Chalk Lake are both local favorites and just up the road from the property.  Our well-manicured lawn is somewhat of a rarity in the high Rockies. 

We do provide regular pool maintenance, however, there is no lifeguard on duty.  While children are welcome, guests assume all liability for themselves and those in their party.  A waiver-release agreement is required when making a reservation.    Guests are encouraged to bring their own water toys, beach towels, and any other accessories they wish to use in the pool as we do not provide those items.
