DESCRIPTION:  Whispering Willows is a one-of-a-kind, private mini-resort vacation rental located in the valley between Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero.  The views are spectacular!  Ideally situated on Chalk Creek, this lodging features a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom sprawling house with a well-equipped galley kitchen, a large living room, and an oversized rec room with a regulation-sized pool table.  Dine inside at one of the two dining tables, or move everyone outside to the deck, or even creekside to the gazebo.  For those who love to cook outside, a gas grill is available.  The Mt. Princeton Grocery Store is within walking distance and has a limited supply of groceries.  If you don’t wish to cook, the Mary Murphy Steak House is also within walking distance and serves 3 spectacular meals a day.  There are many spa options available within walking distance also.

Guests love the amenities inside the house, but the outside of this property is what makes it so unique.  Enjoy swimming year-round in the full-size geothermal swimming pool, which is surrounded by a pool deck and zero gravity deck chairs.  A relaxing place to soak up the sun while relaxing in a private and peaceful environment.  The natural rock soaking pool, also heated geothermally and creekside, will bring peace and balance to your life as you unhook and unwind.

As an added bonus, this private property has two freshwater ponds with Rainbow Trout (no fishing allowed from the pond), and large willow trees, which lend their name to the property.  With approximately 300 feet of creekside frontage, guests can fish from the banks of Chalk Creek, however, Wrights Lake and Chalk Lake are both local favorites, and just up the road from the property.  Our well-manicured lawn is somewhat of a rarity in the high Rockies.

We do provide regular pool maintenance, however, there is no lifeguard on duty.  While children are welcome, guests assume all liability for themselves and those in their party.  A rental agreement and waiver-release agreement are required when making a reservation.  Guests are encouraged to bring their own water toys, beach towels, and any other accessories they wish to use in the pool as we do not provide those items.

Don’t miss your chance to relax and recharge at a one-of-a-king, geothermal property, located in the valley between two world-famous 14,000-foot mountains in Colorado, USA.  Contact the property manager today and we will make the process easy and seamless for you.

REVIEWS:

Whispering Willows is a whispering wonder.  Very quiet home with super comfortable furniture, a modern kitchen, and spacious bathrooms.  Amazing yard with fish ponds, creek, soaking pool, and a regular-sized swimming pool filled with hot spring water.  The interior is decorated like a museum with fascinating historical artifacts.  Fantastic place to spend a few relaxing days in the mountains. My family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The owners were very responsive and know the area well and gave us some good recommendations to eat. The home is huge and with great amenities. The natural hot spring, huge pool, and even the creek in the back yard were amazing. The pictures don’t do the views or the home justice, great views in the front and back yard. It’s close to BV, Salida, and lots of trails. And after a day of rafting or hiking, it was great to come back to a place that you could relax but still had fun things to do for the kids.
